Juliette… Nice to meet you!

Do you know Juliette? Juliette-pain d’amour… It’s a promise of quality, a promise of authenticity and a piece of France in the heart of Zurich.

Juliette has decided to settle down in Zurich. This innovative French bakery and pastry concept will open its doors in March 2023. But Juliette is not alone in this adventure. Emile and Julien, both experienced chefs, have been accompanying her since the beginning.

They are counting the days until the opening and are looking forward to sharing their passion for bread and gourmet desserts with you. All products are made fresh daily on site. Tradition is very important to Juliette. There is still a lot to do before the opening… so we ask for your patience.

Hello… my name is Julien

Julien… Nice to meet you!

Hello everyone.

My name is Julien and I am the Pastry Chef at Juliette – pain d’amour.

I was born in Gaillac, in the southwest of France, known for its vineyards and for Yves Thuriès, twice “Meilleur Ouvrier de France”, who revolutionized French pastry in the 70’s and 80’s.

Coming from a family of farmers, I developped early a passion for local products that I learned to cultivate and to work. This passion led me naturally to discover the cooking art, which turned quite soon into love for pastry. I then joined the team of Yves Thuriès for a specialization as a chocolate confectioner which led me to participate in the French Cup of young chocolatiers.

It is in the Basque Country that I came back to the source of my passion. There I could perfect my art of pastry making and graduated as a Pâtisserie Chef.

Moving to Switzerland will allow me to add another exciting step to my career: to bring the knowledge of gourmet and creative French pastry to Zurich.

Salut… I am Emile

Emile… Nice to meet you!

Hello everyone.

My name is Emile and I am the Chef Baker at Juliette – pain d’amour.

I was born in 2000 in Besançon (F). From a very young age I loved making cakes with my mother. It was during an internship in a bakery that I discovered my passion for baking. I started this exciting profession at the age of 15.

My desire to always stand out from the others led me to obtain the title of best young baker in France in 2017, as well as the title of best apprentice in France in 2018. I then decided to apply for the largest trade competition in the world, the Worldskills. In the middle of the pandemic, I managed to qualify for the two national finals and I got the bronze medal in January 2022.

Rich of these beautiful years of experience and distinctions, I am now coming to Zurich to join Juliette’s team and to share with you my passion for the French Bakery art.

I am looking forward to welcoming you soon at Juliette’s.
